Joint Session Submissions
A Joint Session or Symposium is a collaborative event organized between ISCP and another medical or professional society or association. These scientific sessions typically occur during the partnering organization’s annual meetings or at special scientific and educational events, either in-person or virtually.
Proposals for hosting a Joint Session are reviewed by ISCP’s Meeting Committee, based on the session’s scope, programme, learning objectives, and the proposed faculty. All relevant information must be submitted at the time of the request.
Only Joint Sessions that receive formal approval from ISCP will be permitted to use the ISCP logo on materials specifically related to the endorsed session, but not for promoting the entire event.
Joint Sessions are considered a collaborative effort between ISCP and the requesting organization and/or an ISCP Member representing an organization, and therefore there is no fee for submissions. Each session should include at least one ISCP representative delivering a talk alongside an Expert from the partnering organization.
If you wish to propose a Joint Session, please send an email to Lisa Demos, including the following details:
- A request letter on official letterhead
- The event during which the Joint Session will be held (name, date, location if in-person)
- The event’s official website (for general information and registration)
- Expected audience (estimated size and specialities)
- Proposed agenda for the session
- Names, affiliations, and brief biographies of the suggested faculty
- Type of sponsorship, if applicable
The review process for these type of submissions typically takes between two to three weeks.
