President’s Section
Dear Readers,
2024 has undoubtedly been a challenging year for scientific societies everywhere. Budget constraints have tested our resilience, but thanks to the dedication of our community, ISCP has continued to grow and thrive.
Our A-to-Z pharmacotherapy webinars covered key topics like Heart Failure, Digital Health, Pharmacogenomics, and Cardio metabolism, drawing global participation. The CLAP short videos on GLP-1RA in HFpEF, home-based BP monitoring, and statins and myopathy have become valuable resources. We’ve also collaborated with scientific societies worldwide for Joint Sessions, sharing regional insights.
The 29th Annual Scientific Meeting in São Paulo, Brazil, was a resounding success, featuring an exceptional programme, world-class speakers, and outstanding attendance.
Looking ahead, we’re excited about the Lipoprotein(a) Awareness and Knowledge (Lp(a)AK) survey, which aims to gather insights
into healthcare professionals’ understanding of this underexplored cardiovascular risk factor. Please take part!
In 2025, we’re introducing the Fellow of ISCP (FISCP) to recognize professional excellence. Additionally, mark your calendars for the 30th Annual Scientific Meeting ISCP 2025 in Oviedo, Spain, on September 25–26. It’s an event you won’t want to miss!
As we close the year, thank you for your unwavering support and enthusiasm. Let’s make 2025 a remarkable year for ISCP.
Wishing you a joyful holiday season and a fantastic New Year ahead!
Warm regards,
Sincerely,
Dr Alberto Lorenzatti
ISCP President 2024
